CATCHING UP WITH COACH RILEY:
"On the women's side we had some really good racing today. Ruby again showed her poise to race up front with some of the best women in the country and really showed her strength down the stretch to finish runner up. Eve had a solid day to finish in the top 15 and Baneet, Abby and Maddy really stepped up today to round out our top five. Zoe who was having the race of her Dons career went down with an injury with 1K to go, so hopefully we will get her back and 100% for the NCAA Regionals.
"For the men,
Caleb Haugland had the race of the day and is really coming on strong. Daniel closed out his WCC career with a solid day, beating some of the guys that had gotten the best of him earlier this season. Team wise our score really suffered as three of our nine guys dropped out of the race. We will see what we can put together in two weeks."
UP NEXT:
The Dons now turn their attention to the NCAA West Regionals Nov. 12-14 at Haggin Oaks Golf Club in Sacramento. The meet will give the Dons' team an opportunity to measure themselves against the best competition in the west.Â
