SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- After falling short against Cal over the weekend at Chase Center, the USF Dons' women's basketball team (1-1) returns home to War Memorial Gym Thursday evening to host a fellow Northern California university, the UC Davis Aggies (1-1).
Thursday's game will be a rematch from last season when the Dons came up short on the road in Davis 82-75 in their 2020-21 season opener.Â

BOUNCING BACK:
- The Dons couldn't get into a rhythm for most of last Saturday's game against the Golden Bears, USF started quick racing out to a 9-2 lead but couldn't get much going the rest of the game.
- Ioanna Krimili followed up her 20-point Opening Night performance by dropping 15 points at Chase Center on 6-for-12 shooting, while also knocking down a pair of three pointers. Krimili is currently alone in tenth place and is only five back of ninth place and six back of eighth place in program history.Â
- Jasmine Gayles has begun her Dons' career by posting back-to-back double digit scoring games as she scored 10 points against Cal Saturday afternoon.Â
- USF hasn't been shy about getting their freshman action earlier on in the season as Claudia Langarita, Aya Kéita and Cami Fulcher have seen action through the first two games. Langarita has played a total of 35 minutes through two games scoring a combined 11 points while also securing four rebounds to begin her collegiate career.Â
- Uppperclassmen Abby Rathbun and Lucija Kostic have both been active on the boards this season averaging 6.0 and 5.5 rebounds respectively. Kostic made life difficult for Morgan State in the paint as she recorded a career-high five blocks in the season opening victory.Â
THINGS TO KNOW:
- Both teams matched up to open the 2020-21 season with the Aggies coming out victorious on their home floor.
- UC Davis is coming off a close home loss their last time out as they fell 52-50 against Saint Mary's.
- Krimili is currently second in the WCC in points per game as she's averaged 17.5 PPG through the first two games of the season.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES:
- UC Davis is led on the offensive side of the ball by sophomore guard Evanne Turner who's averaging 16.0 PPG through the Aggies' first two games. Turner has been a threat from deep, as she's gone 7-for-12 from three point land early on in the season.Â
- Cierra Hall is a key piece of UC Davis' front court as she is her team's second leading scorer at 11.0 PPG to go along with 6.5 RPG. Hall is also a weapon with her passing ability leading the Aggies with eight assists so far.Â
- Off the bench, Lena Svanholm has been a scoring machine coming in third on the team at 9.0 PPG while shooting a very efficient 8-for-12 from the field.Â
