Ioanna Krimili sweeps the WCC Player of the Week awards for the second time.

SAN MATEO, Calif. – For the second time this season University of San Francisco women's basketball redshirt freshman guard, Ioanna Krimili has swept the UCU West Coast Conference Player of the Week Awards. Krimili earns her second Player of the Week honors and seventh Freshman of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Krimili was a force behind the Dons 3-0 week which included a sweep over Pepperdine and an 18-point road win over LMU. For the week, Krimili scored 76 points, averaging 25.3 points per game. She shot 60.5 percent from the field going 26-for-43 and was even better from beyond the arc, connecting on 63.6 percent of her attempts (21-for-33).
In every game last week her numbers got better. She opened the week scoring 23 against the Waves at home shooting 53.6 percent from the field, she followed that up with 24 points in the win over Pepperdine in Malibu where she shot 58.3 percent from the field.
Against LMU she finished with 29 points and shot 66.7 percent from the field while making a USF single game record nine 3-point field goals.
Krimili was also named the CollegeSportsMadness.com WCC Player of the Week. This is the second time the native of Heraklion, Greece has swept the weekly awards, she last did it on December 14.
For the year, Krimili is averaging 18.4 points per game which ranks 61st in the nation and second in the WCC. She is second in the nation in 3-point field goals attempted (131), and 3-point field goals made (58). She ranks sixth in the nation in 3-point field goals per game averaging 3.41 per contest and is 30th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at 44.3 percent.
The 58 made 3s ranks eight in a single season in USF history. She trails Anna Seilund, Mel Khlok, and Rheina Ale for fifth all-time by one.
The Dons return to action on Thursday when they host cross-bay rival Saint Mary's at 6:00 p.m.
