STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's soccer team got its first win of the spring 2021 season on Saturday night defeating host Pacific 3-2 at Knoles Field.

USF (1-2-0) scored three times and was led by a bevy of newcomers in the first road win for the Dons since September 2018. USF tallied a season-high seven shots with four on goal.

The Dons' first goal of the season came in the 26^th minute when Pacific (0-3-0) misplayed the ball in their own penalty area and knocked it in to give USF a 1-0 advantage.

The lead did not last long as the Tigers got even with a goal by Mathias Saether who took a pass from Yazid Omir in the 28^th minute.

The two sides went in to the locker room tied 1-1. However, the Tigers owned a 7-2 shot advantage and a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Out of the break, the Dons made a change at goal, going with redshirt senior Alejandro Munoz (1-0-0). Munoz took over freshman Brandon Keniston who made his USF debut. Keniston finished with a save and the one goal allowed in 45 minutes of action. Munoz also finished with a save and a goal allowed but was credited with the win.

Quickly out of the intermission, Ivo Neto collected his first goal as a Don, taking a pass from Nonso Adimabua to give USF their second lead of the evening.

Once again, the Tigers got level with an equalizer from Jose Angel Reyes in the 52^nd minute.

The two sides remained tied at 2-2 for over nine minutes when Kevyn Lo scored his first collegiate goal for the Dons. The game-winning goal game in the 61^st minute.

USF's defense, which had allowed those seven first half shots, limited the Tigers to just five shots in the second half with only two on goal.

The Dons return to action next Sunday when they travel to Spokane, Wash., to take on Gonzaga. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and will be streamed on the WCC Network.
