FAIRFAX, Calif. — The University of San Francisco women's golf team stood in 12th place Monday after the first two rounds of the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational.
The Dons totaled 626 as a team through the first two rounds, only five strokes behind 11th-place UC Davis. Toni St. John, playing as an individual for the Dons, was USF's highest-placing player through two rounds, sitting in a tie for 13th with a five-over 149 total score (73-76). Joan Soewondo was the Dons' top scorer, shooting a seven-over 151 (77-74) to sit tied for 22nd overall.
Annika Borrelli shot 78 and 76 in the tournament's first two rounds to finish tied for 34th with a 10-over 154. Two Dons sat tied for 61st with two-round totals of 162 – Toni Sottile and Pearl Rojanapeansatith. Hannah Zeman was tied for 63rd after Monday's action with a total score of 165. Jade Siphomsay also played as an individual for the Dons, improving by nine strokes from the first to second round with a 159 total score, tying for 55th.
The University of Washington was the team leader through two rounds with a total score of 579. The Huskies' Stefanie Deng is the individual leader heading into the final round after shooting a 2-under 142 (74-68).
