SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's basketball team continues to bolster its talented lineup. Head coach Molly Goodenbour is pleased to announce the addition of Aya Kéita, a 5-foot, 9-inch guard from Györ, Hungary who signed a National Letter of Intent to attend USF for the 2021-22 season.  
 
Kéita comes to the Hilltop by way of Kazinczy Ferenc Grammar School and a wealth of experience playing on the international level. The 17-year-old averaged 5.0 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game playing in the FIBA U19 World Championships as one of the youngest players on the roster.
 
"Aya will be an excellent addition to our program," said Goodenbour. "She is an athletic and talented young guard who has gained tremendous experience competing for Hungarian Eurocup team Györ. Quick, intelligent and with a strong ability to push the ball in transition, Aya will add depth and athleticism to our guard position. We are excited for her to join us next season."
 
As a member of the 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup team, she helped Hungary capture 10^th place.  For her prep career she boasts three top-10 finishes in international competition. Helping Hungary take seventh at the 2018 U16 FIBA European Championships at Division A.  In that tournament she averaged 5.0 points per game, but scored a game-high 19 points in Hungary's win over Croatia in the group stage.
 
Kéita joins an incoming class that includes 6'4" forward Lorena Anunciacao from Brazil, and 6'0" wing Kennedy Dickie from Eastern Washington.
