KENTFIELD, Calif. – The University of San Francisco beach volleyball team got a 5-0 win over host College of Marin on Wednesday. Freshmen
Sara Denham and
Jessica Eanes got their first collegiate wins on the beach.
The afternoon started off with 4s and 5s beginning at noon. The pair of
Bruna Correa and
Serafina Rivera won their second consecutive match, winning 21-12, 22-20. Rivera and Correa improve to 3-3 on the year as playing partners and 2-3 in the 4s spot. Denham and Eanes playing their sixth official match together improve to 1-5 after defeating their opponents in straight-sets 21-151, 21-12.
Later in the afternoon the 1s, 2s, and 3s took the court.
Anna Dalla Vecchia and
Catie Cronister played their second match together, they improve to 2-0 after winning 21-11, 21-9. Dalla Vecchia improves to 4-3 on the year and 2-1 at the 1s. Cronister improves to 3-4 and 3-3 in the 1ss.
At the 2s
Tanner Pemberton and
Greta Corti got an easy 21-14, 21-16 win.
Sophie Sydenham and
Katie Wagstaff followed that up with a 21-11, 2-19 win.
