SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of San Francisco beach volleyball team fell to host San Jose State 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Spartan Beach.
Anna Dalla Vecchia and
Catie Cronister remain hot for the Dons. The duo won their fourth consecutive match together since being paired. They defeated the top duo from San Jose State 21-18, 21-18.
The Dons (2-7) fell in the remaining matches in straight sets. However, the Dons did get a solid performance at the 4s with
Bruna Correa and
Serafina Rivera battling, but ultimately falling 21-18, 21-18.
The match began with pairs
Tanner Pemberton and
Greta Corti falling 21-5, 21-14. At the 5s
Sara Denham and
Jessica Eanes battled in the first set but fell 21-18, 21-8.
Sophie Sydenham and
Katie Wagstaff fell in two sets at the 3s, 21-12, 21-13.
