MSOC | Dons Sign Tobias Wangerud for 2021

SAN FRANCISCO – First year head coach Chris Brown is pleased to announce the signing of Tobias Wangerud (Dahlske Videregaaende/Oslo, Norway) to a scholarship agreement to attend the University of San Francisco for the fall 2021 season.
"Tobias has the physicality and soccer IQ to come in and make a difference right away," said Brown. "He was the youngest debutant for his professional club and the young player of the year for Jerv. Tobias is a proven winner, a relentless competitor, and a higher character individual"
The 6-foot, 3-inch, highly acclaimed attacker was named the 2016 Young Player of the Year for the Express and was named the Young Player of the Year for Jerv in 2018. He has played for Jerv the last three seasons, which plays in the first division in Norway's professional soccer pyramid.
When he joined Jerv at the age of 15 he became the youngest player in the first division. He has only appeared in two matches. He logged a career-best 30 minutes of action on Aug 27 against Ranheim.
The Dons will open their season officially on Thursday, Aug. 27 against Sacramento State under the lights at Negoesco Stadium.
