
Dons Close Out Season Against San Diego

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of San Francisco men's soccer team (7-5-4, 0-4-2 WCC) is set to finish off conference play this week as they will host University of San Diego (7-4-6, 5-0-1 WCC) on Saturday evening for their Senior Night at Negoesco Stadium to complete the 2022 collegiate soccer season.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- The Dons last match on the road against Gonzaga ended in a 1-1 draw. After going down a goal early in the second half, Arjan Donsanjh got the Dons back in the game with a header goal in the 68th minute for his fourth goal of the season. The senior is now second on the team in points with 10 total from four goals and two assists.
- Offensively, Max Hamelink continues to hold his ranked position in the top five for the WCC as he's tied for second place in both goals with seven and points with 16 overall.
- Eric Waltz was solid in the nets against Gonzaga on Nov. 5, as he recorded five saves and faced 16 shots. He is now tied for third place in saves for the WCC with 52 on the year.
- Currently leading the conference, San Diego has not lost a game during WCC play as they most recently won 2-1 against Pacific on Nov. 5.
- Leading the Toreros to victory was Mason Tunbridge as he scored his sixth goal of the season in the second half with a penalty and logged his fourth assist in the first half. He leads the team in points with 16 and in shots with 51.
- In goal, senior Jason Dubrovich has been solid this season as he's tied for third place with Eric Waltz for most saves in the WCC with 52 total. He has faced 230 shots this season and started in every game for the Toreros.
- San Diego leads the overall series between the two teams with a record of 12-10-1. In their last matchup during the fall 2021 season, the Toreros won 2-1 on their home field after being tied 1-1 at halftime. The last time the Don's beat San Diego was on October 7, 2018.
