Lisle joins the Dons following a 16-year coaching career working in collegiate baseball, softball and professional baseball serving in a variety of different roles. He most recently served as the Director of Player and Program Development with the University of Nevada baseball program.
In 2020, Lisle served as an assistant coach for Fresno State softball helping lead an turnaround for the Bulldogs as they went from finishing No. 64 in the RPI to all the way to No. 12 in 2020. Working with the Gamecocks, the coaching staff was selected as the 2018 NFCA Southeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors after taking a team that picked to finish 12th in a loaded SEC to a third place finish. Lisle's Gamecock lineup led the SEC with a school record 65 home runs while also leading the league in slugging percentage, doubles, total bases and hit by pitches.
Just before joining South Carolina, Lisle worked as the head coach at Menlo College, turning in the school's first winning campaign in 14 years with a 30-20 overall record. Four hitters on that team earned All-Goden State Athletic Conference honors.
Prior to Lisle's first head coaching appointment he spent time as an assistant coach with Cal-State East Bay in 2014 and with Santa Clara in 2015.
Lisle began his collegiate softball career as a volunteer assistant with the University of Oregon in 2013, and helped the Ducks to its first Pac-12 championship. He got his break as the associate head coach at Patten University for two years before becoming the head baseball coach at NCAA Division III Gallaudet University in 2007-08.
In addition to his high school and collegiate coaching positions, Lisle has built a strong following online with over one million followers and has served as a hitting consultant for several MLB players and organizations.
Lisle earned his bachelor's degree in organizational movement from Patten University in 2006. He is married to Jessica and they have five children together.
