PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Back in action to open the spring semester, the University of San Francisco men's golf team will head south to compete in the Wyoming World Match Play Championship for the second straight year when they hit the greens this Friday and Saturday at Classic Club Golf Course in Palm Springs.

DONS AT A GLANCE:

• Returning to the course for the first time this spring, USF will aim to build off a strong fall season as the Dons finished in the top five as a team in three of their five tournaments in the fall semester. Notably, the green and gold won the Howard/USF Intercollegiate at TPC Potomac at Avenal Farm on Sept. 26 + 27, 2022, which included four Dons finishing in the top six individually.
• Competing in this tournament for the second straight year, Wyoming's Desert Match Play will feature eight teams seeded in a bracket with each team playing two matches on Friday followed by a final matchup on Saturday. Seedings for the tournament are based off of the Nov. 15, 2022 completed fall season Golfstat team rankings. The winners of the four opening round matches on Friday will move into the championship bracket and the other four teams will move into the consolation bracket.
• Last year, USF finished third overall in this tournament as the Dons defeated Air Force (5-1) and UTEP (4-2) while falling to host Wyoming (4-2).
