BETHLEHEM, Pa./SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The University of San Francisco cross country teams competed in two meets on Saturday, Oct. 5, as the women participated in the Paul Short Run while the men took part in The Master's Invitational.
 
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

• In her second meet with the Dons this season, Katharina Goetschl set a new career best in the 6000 meters at 21:00.9 as she grabbed 48th out of 371 competitors in the Paul Short Run. Nearly recording a sub-21-minute time in the event, Goetschl broke her previous best of 21:20.5 set at the NCAA Division II West Region Cross Country Championships while competing with the Academy of Art in 2023.
• Natálie Hluší, the second member to cross the finish line, earned an 85th-place finish with a time of 21:17.0.
• Zach Elam, the lone member of the men's team to compete in the Paul Short Run, took 126th out of 374 participants in the 8000 meters, crossing at 24:55.4.
• At The Master's Invitational, Isaac Hartman paced the Dons with a 25th-place finish at 25:06.9, while Ethan O'Shea followed in 33rd with a time of 25:22.4.
