- The Dons held onto a comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the opening frame and recorded four of the final five points, capped off with a Ewing kill, to take the set, 25-16.

- Trading points to begin the third set, a kill from Rola and a Vivian Light attack error tied the frame at seven. Oregon State pulled ahead in the following points, taking command of the set, 15-9, as Light finished an 8-2 run with a service ace.
- Despite cutting the Beavers' lead to six, 23-17, the Dons fell short, falling 25-17 in the third set.
- In a highly contested fourth set, the Beavers held a seven-point lead, 15-8, midway through and continued to hold onto their advantage. In the back half of the frame, the Dons made a last push, using a four-point scoring run to cut the deficit to 20-16 before the Beavers secured the frame, 25-19, later on.
- Trailing by two, 7-5, in the deciding fifth set, Oregon State embarked on a 6-0 run to take an 11-7 lead. The Beavers fended off a rally, as the green and gold trimmed the lead to two, 14-12 before recording the final point for the 15-12 win.
