BERKELEY, Calif. – The University of San Francisco track & field team kicked off the 2024 outdoor season when it traveled to the East Bay to compete in the Cal Season Opener, hosted by California, on Saturday, Mar. 2, at Edwards Stadium.
The men's program competed in a couple of events throughout the meet, highlighted by an
Ed Buck first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run. Buck, competing in the event for the first time in his career, paced the field of 11 with a time of 8:36.46.
Will Bujake also grabbed a podium spot in the vent, finishing in third with a time of 8:52. 97.
In the 1500-meter run, three Dons earned top 10 finishes, led by
Trevor Deane, who crossed in fourth at 4:05.42.
Ben Preddy (sixth – 4:06.64) and
Danny Skovron (ninth – 4:08.57) also led the green and gold in the 17-runner field.
