MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Completing its East Coast trip at the General Hackler Championship, the University of San Francisco men's golf team earned an eighth-place finish with a 10-over-par 874 Wednesday afternoon at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Ben Partridge led the Dons throughout the tournament, ending the three-day event in a tie for third place with a six-under-par 210 (70-70-70). Earning his third top-five finish of the season, Partridge ranked tied for second among the field of 80 in birdies with 13.
- Harry Brown climbed the player leaderboard in the final two days, shooting under par in the second and third rounds to finish in a tie for 15th at one-over-par 217 (76-71-70).
- Having success on the second day of the tournament, Jakob Melin shot a one-under-par 71, his 16th under-par round of the season. Melin finished in a tie for 28th with a four-over-par 220 (74-71-75).
- As a team, San Francisco ranked third in total birdies with 48 and shot an astounding 15-under-par on Par 5's.
