MELIN AT A GLANCE:
  • Back in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season, Melin enters the regional rounds ranked at #155 in Scoreboard's NCAA Division I Men's Golf Individual Rankings. Recently, he earned WCC All-Conference Team honors, which included tying for 19th individually at the WCC Championship in Bremerton, Wash. from Apr. 26-28.
  • Last year, Melin kicked off his postseason debut on a high note as he tied for 14th overall at 11-under-205 at the Las Vegas Regional. Helping San Francisco shoot a program record 45-under, the Dons then advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second time in three years. Shortly thereafter, Melin tied for 81st overall after the championship rounds at 10-over-220.
  • Melin's appearance in the Stanford Regional will mark the fourth straight year and the sixth time in the last seven years at least one student-athlete has competed in the NCAA Tournament for the green and gold. Other individuals in this regional include Enrique Dimayuga (#63/Nevada), Ben Warian (#148/Minnesota), Cole Rueck (#445/Boise State) and Joke Sykes (#975/Idaho).
  • Overall, Melin began his 2023-24 campaign with three straight top ten finishes, including a second place finish at the USF/Howard Intercollegiate on Sept. 18 + 19. Additionally, he finished in the top ten individual twice in the spring and has shot par or lower in 25 of his 36 rounds this year, which included 12 straight rounds to begin the year. He was also the only student-athlete to record multiple eagles at the WCC Championship.
