Three Program Records Broken at Oxy Invite

OCCIDENTAL, Calif. – The University of San Francisco, nearing the end of the regular season, participated in the Oxy Invite on Saturday, hosted by Occidental.
Highlighted by Olivia Alexandre's performance in the 400 meters, three program records were broken during the meet. Beating her previous best by 36 tenths of a second, Alexandre's new school record of 55.19 gave her a seventh-place finish out of 21 competitors.
The team of Noa Grochowski, Tatumn LaChapelle, Sophia Priester-Veasley, and Lucia Gifford-Groves continued to impress this season in the 4x100 meter relay, breaking the program record with a time of 47:00 and a first0-place finish in the event.

On the men's side, Jacob Cann broke the record and shaved off 18 tenths of a second off his personal best in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:42.22.
A handful of new personal bests occurred throughout the meet as Trevor Deane ran the fifth-best time in the 800 meters in program history at 1:52.51.
