SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The University of San Francisco (USF) women's soccer team (2-9-4, 1-5-2 WCC) came up just short on Saturday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Santa Clara (7-6-3, 3-2-3 WCC) at Stevens Stadium - Buck Shaw Field.

- Tyra Bengtsson-Stenseth made an early save in the 12th minute on a shot from Adee Goulden to keep the match scoreless.
- Leah O'Brien broke through for Santa Clara in the 14th minute, scoring off assists from Kat Jordan and Lia Henkelmann to give the Broncos a 1-0 lead.
- The Dons finished the first half with four shots and one corner kick, while Santa Clara totaled nine shots before the break.
