SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Rounding out its regular season home slate, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (10-5-1, 5-3 WCC) defended the Hilltop on Saturday night, taking down Bay Area rival Saint Mary's (2-7-6, 2-4-2 WCC), 1-0, on senior night at Negoesco Stadium.

- Through the opening 20 minutes of the match, Saint Mary's outshot San Francisco 7-1, but in the 21st minute, the Dons flipped the script. Jhared Willcot set up Ben Norris for the first score of the night, putting the Dons in front, 1-0.
- USF outshot SMC, 5-2, in the remaining portion of the first half, with the green and gold going into the locker room with a one-goal lead.
- In the second half, the Dons had multiple opportunities to double their advantage, outshooting the Gaels 13-4 in the period, but Norris' goal and steady defense proved to be enough as USF captured a 1-0 win in its final regular season home match.
