DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco enters its first road test following a dominating 64-40 season-opening victory over UNC Greensboro on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
- Candy Edokpaigbe, in her debut on the Hilltop, scored a career-high 26 points on 62.5 percent (10-for-16) shooting. Her 26-point outing surpassed her previous collegiate best of 21 set against Tarleton State on February 15, 2025, when playing at Seattle U.
- Meghan McIntyre was impressive in her Division I debut for the green and gold, recording a near triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.
- Dominating the glass, Nevaeh Ferrara Horne collected a career-best 11 rebounds, including a game-high four offensive boards.
- San Francisco's defense was effective in forcing turnovers, with three players registering two steals. As a team, the Dons secured 14 takeaways for 16 points off turnovers and held the Spartans to just 18.2 percent (12-of-66) shooting from the field.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS:
- Boise State nearly dropped its season opener at home last Monday as it defeated NAIA Eastern Oregon, 59-51. The Broncos trailed at halftime, 26-23, but dominated the second half, outscoring the Mountaineers, 36-25, to earn the eight-point victory.
- Libby Hutton posted a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double in the win over, her first double-double of her career. The sophomore forward from Perth, Australia, appeared in 30 games last season, averaging 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
- Before the start of the season, Tatum Thompson was named the 2025-26 Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year. Last season, Thompson was named to the MW All-Conference Team as she averaged a team-leading 13.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She ranked 12th in the league in scoring and seventh in rebounding a year ago, recorded seven double-doubles, and scored in double figures 24 times.
- Boise State returned its top-four scorers from the 2024-25 season. Tatum Thompson (13.6 points per game), Natalie Pasco (12.5), Dani Bayes (9.1), and Mya Hansen (7.8) combined for 59.9 percent of the Broncos' points last season.
SERIES HISTORY:
- San Francisco and Boise State have faced off six times since the first-ever meeting in the 1990-91 season. The Broncos hold a 4-2 edge over the Dons, and broke a two-game skid with a 59-57 victory last season at Chase Center.
