LAS VEGAS, Nev. – With the regular season wrapped up, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team (14-15, 11-9 WCC) is headed to Las Vegas for the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Championship, facing off against No. 9 seeded LMU (13-15, 7-13 WCC) at noon on Saturday, Mar. 8, at Orleans Arena.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco concluded the regular season with a split, dropping a narrow 68-67 loss to Portland on Thursday, Feb. 27, before bouncing back with a dominant 60-35 win over San Diego on Saturday, Mar. 1. Despite the defeat to the Pilots, the Dons posted a season-high 64.3 three-point percentage.
- The Dons finished 14-15 overall and secured the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament with an 11-9 league record. The finish marks the first time the Dons have secured 11 conference wins since 2016-17 while concluding the regular season in the top five for the fifth straight season.
- Against San Diego, Freja Werth had a career game, scoring 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including three-of-six from beyond the three-point line. She also recorded her third double-double of the season, grabbing 10 rebounds. She wrapped up the season averaging 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
- Three Dons earned WCC All-Conference honors, Werth was named to the First Team, Emma Trawally Porta earned Second Team recognition, and Angeliki Ziaka secured a spot on the All-Freshman Team.
- Trawally Porta made her mark on the defensive end, ranking fifth in conference play in blocks at 1.3 per game, finishing the season with 37 blocks to lead the team.
- The Dons rank fifth in scoring during conference play, averaging 65.0 points per game, while establishing themselves as one of the WCC's top defensive teams, finishing second in points allowed (62.9), third in rebounds (38.2 per game), and fourth in blocks (4.0 per game).
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- LMU concluded the regular season with the ninth seed in the conference tournament and defeated No. 8-seeded Santa Clara 66-52 on Friday in the second round of the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Championship.
- Four of the Lion's five starters posted double-digit points in the victory, led by Brandi William's game-high 22 points. Along with Williams, Naudia Evans (16 points), Maya Hernandez (14 points), and Carly Heidger (12 points) helped guide the program to the double-digit win over the Broncos.
- Evans earned All-Conference Second Team honors, finishing the season with averages of 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. Her season-high came in a dominant 37-point performance against Washington State, landing her second on LMU's all-time single-game scoring list.
SERIES HISTORY:
San Francisco and LMU have gone head-to-head 92 times in program history, with the Dons leading the series 51-41. In their most recent matchup, the Dons fought hard but fell short in a tight 73-68 loss on January 30 on the Hilltop.
