BOISE, Idaho – In the second match of the Boise State Invitational, the University of San Francisco volleyball team (2-4) dropped a straight-set decision at Boise State (6-2) on Friday evening at Bronco Gym.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Falling behind early in the first set, San Francisco never led, as Boise State grabbed an early 4-1 advantage.
- Trailing 20-12 in the later stages of the opening frame, the Dons battled back and used an 8-4 scoring run to get within four, 24-20. Maeve Bailey, Astrid Puig, and Hannah Taylor combined for five kills, guiding the green and gold offensively throughout the run.
- The Broncos, however, scored the final point of the set to take the early lead in the match, 25-20.
- A 25-19 second-set loss put San Francisco in a 2-0 hole in the match. The team trailed by as many as seven points as Boise State secured the lead early at 7-6 to ease to the victory.
- In a tightly contested third set, the Dons erased an 18-13 deficit to take a 21-20 lead late. Three Dons registered kills during the 8-2 scoring run while Cagla Bengi and Hokulani Perez added one service ace apiece.
- Following a Boise State timeout, the Broncos won five of the final seven points to jump back ahead and take the deciding set, 25-23.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- San Francisco finished the match with three players with double-digit kills, led by Puig's 12. Bailey and Taylor also guided the Dons offensively with 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
- Defensively, Abby Wadas collected a team-high 15 digs while adding two assists.
- Andrea Fabikovicová recorded a double-double with 24 assists and 10 digs, the second time this season she has posted double-digit assists and digs in a match.
- As a team, San Francisco recorded a .250 hitting percentage, the third-highest by the program in a match this season.
