CERES, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational on Saturday evening, hosted by Stanislaus State, at River Oaks Golf Course.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- San Francisco, competing without its varsity group of the top seven runners, earned a 10th-place team finish on the men's side, while the women finished in ninth place.
- Jake Drever, participating in his first 8k for the green and gold this season, led the men's side with a 53rd-place finish with a time of 25:16.6.
- Chet Gorman followed two spots behind Drever in 55th place at 25:17.6, beating his previous best time of 25:55.6, set two weeks ago at the USF Invitational.
- Concluding the scoring for the men was Dylan Souza (81st – 25:45.0), Naveen Dawson (88th – 25:49.2), Zach Danielson (96th – 25:58.5), and Ben Olney (106th – 26:10.4).
- Sydney Collier guided the women's program as she earned her first-ever top-20 individual finish of her career in the 6k. Collier, the freshman from Sammamish, Wash., secured 19th place out of 149 participants and crossed the finish line with a time of 21:36.3.
- Marlee Kwasnica (54th – 22:24.5), Kennedy Bartee (75th – 22:45.3), Lily Mourer (89th – 23:04.5), and Kaylee Noda (120th – 24:00.4) rounded out the scoring for the Dons.
