DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • San Francisco enters Saturday's matinee on a two-game winning streak following a narrow 69-65 come-from-behind victory over San Diego last Thursday.
  • Scoring 20+ points for the sixth time this season, Candy Edokpaigbe paced the Dons with 24 points while shooting 75 percent (six-for-eight) from the field. Edokpaigbe found success at the free-throw line throughout the contest, connecting on 10 of her 11 attempts from the charity stripe.
  • Noelia Mouriño, fresh off her first-career double-double at Washington State, grabbed double-digit rebounds for the third time in the last four games as she secured 11 in 25 minutes against the Toreros. Mouriño continues to lead the team in rebounding through 19 games at 7.1 per game. She also leads all true freshmen in the WCC in rebounding during conference play at 7.8 per game.
  • Aina Cargol added 16 points, her sixth straight game scoring in double figures. Along with her scoring, she added five assists, boosting her team-leading season total to 91. Establishing herself as one of the best passers in the WCC, Cargol is one of five players in the WCC with 90+ assists this season and ranks fifth in the conference at 4.8 per game.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
  • Following a 2-0 start to West Coast Conference play, Pacific dropped its following five games, losing to Oregon State, Portland, Saint Mary's, Pepperdine, and LMU. Pacific ended its losing streak when it defeated Washington State at home last Thursday, 65-53.
  • Winner Bartholomew, a sophomore transfer guard from Rider, leads Pacific in scoring through 19 games this season, averaging 13.9 points per game. During conference play, Bartholomew has broken out, ranking eighth in the WCC in scoring at 15.1 points per game. She has registered double-digit points in the last four games, highlighted by a career-best 28 points in the 20-point loss to LMU on January 17.
  • Daria Nestorov and Sydney Ward, two returning players from last season's roster, have helped guide the Tigers on both ends of the court this season. Nestorov, in her second season with the program, ranks first on the team and fourth in the WCC in assists, averaging 4.9 per game. Ward, a four-year member, has established herself as one of the better rebounders in the league, ranking eighth at 6.2 per game.
  • As a team during conference play, Pacific ranks eighth in the WCC in scoring, averaging 62.3 points per game, while the defense has allowed 68.4 points per game in eight contests, ranking seventh. The Tigers have also been one of the league's worst shooting teams, connecting on 38.4 percent of their attempts from the field.
SERIES HISTORY:
  • San Francisco and Pacific are set to meet for the 54th time in program history, with the Dons holding a 29-24 edge over the Tigers since the first-ever game during the 1976-77 season.
  • In recent history, San Francisco has won eight of the last 12 contests against Pacific, including four straight from February 6, 2021, to January 12, 2023. The two programs split the regular-season series in 2024-25, with the Dons earning a dominating 80-67 victory at home on February 15, 2025. All five starters for the green and gold scored in double figures while the team shot 52.7 percent from the field, the second-highest field-goal percentage in a game that season.
