In 2022-23, McCulloch helped San Francisco men’s basketball to a 20-win season under head coach Chris Gerlufsen. During McCulloch’s first year, the Dons took home the 2022 Hall of Fame Classic championship and had two players selected as First Team All-WCC performers - Tyrell Roberts and Khalil Shabazz. Roberts and
Shabazz combined to miss zero games in 2022-23 and ranked 1st and 2nd in the WCC in total minutes played.

McCulloch also played a key role in helping USF men’s golf team advance to the 2023 Division I National Championship. On a department level, McCulloch designed and implemented a new state-of-the-art fueling station intended to elevate the nutrition for all USF athletes.

Prior to the Hilltop, McCulloch served as the Men’s Basketball Performance Director for the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga. Chattanooga won the 2021-22 Southern Conference regular season and conference tournament championships, earning an NCAA tournament bid. The Cougars would go on to win the AAC regular season and tournament championships before making a run to the Elite Eight. At Houston, McCulloch trained future 2023 NBA first round pick Marcus Sasser.

McCulloch previously served as an Assistant Strength Coach with Louisiana Tech football from 2020-21. While at LA Tech, McCulloch worked with several All-Conference USA players, including future third round NFL Draft selection Milton Williams.

McCulloch’s start came at his alma mater, working with the University of Colorado Men’s Basketball team as a strength and conditioning assistant in 2019-20. During the season he spent with CU, the team won 21 games behind future NBA players McKinley Wright IV (1st Team All-Pac 12) and Tyler Bey (Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year). In the summers of 2019 and 2021, McCulloch worked at NBA Summer League as the event’s head of quality control. In this role, he acted as a liaison to all team personnel, including NBA owners, executives, coaches, and players.

A student-athlete himself, McCulloch was a four-year letter winner for the University of Colorado - Boulder football team. At the time of his graduation, he ranked in the top 20 in CU history in receptions and receiving yards. McCulloch was also named to the Pac-12 All-Academic team three times.
