Kacey Nady joined the University of San Francisco women’s volleyball staff as an assistant coach in June 2019, and enters her first year with the Dons during the 2019-20 school year.
Nady brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Dons. She spent her undergraduate indoor volleyball career with the nationally ranked University of Oregon program from 2013-16, where she was named all-Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention three times and helped the Ducks to the NCAA Tournament in all four of her years with the team – including an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2014. She finished her indoor career among the Ducks’ top-five all-time in hitting percentage (.315).
As a dual-sport student-athlete, Nady also played beach volleyball at Oregon. She was an integral part of the Ducks’ No. 1 pairs team. Upon finishing at Oregon, Nady transferred to the University of Arizona and played at the Wildcats’ No. 2 pairs slot in 2018, when the team rose to as high as No. 10 in the national rankings.
Nady also has a diverse base of developmental coaching at the club and high school level. Most recently, she was part of the coaching staff with the Coast Volleyball Club, heading the 14s team and assisting with the 16s. The program earned two top-two finishes in the first two qualifier tournaments of the season while Nady coordinated on- and off-court efforts including running drills, holding player meetings on leadership, nutrition, team culture, communication and oversaw personal well-being.
Since 2018, Nady has spent time as a coach at La Jolla Country Day School back in her home town of San Diego, and with the Sava Volleyball Club in Tucson, Ariz., during her time at the University of Arizona. She also worked elite camps during her time as a student-athlete at the University of Oregon.
Nady graduated from the University of Oregon in 2017 with a bachelor of science degree in general science.
