Pete Lavin (Phillies)

Lavin started six games for the Williamsport Crosscutters in the Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League and totaled nine hits, seven runs scored, three RBIs, three walks, two doubles and a home run. The centerfielder turned in four multiple-hit games last week. The Crosscutters are only one game out of the lead in the NYP Pinckney Division.

Ryan Lipkin (Athletics)

The catcher is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak for the Stockton Ports. Lipkin totaled five hits, 5 RBIs, a home run, a double and a stolen base in three games last week. The Ports are holding onto a one game-lead for first place in the North Division of the Class A-Advanced California League.

Stefan Gartrell (Braves)

Gartrell played in all seven of the Gwinnett Braves' games last week, totaling six walks. His best game came against Scranton/WB, during which he went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored. The Gwinnett Braves are two games out of the lead in the South Division of the Triple AAA International League. 

Stephen Yarrow (Giants)

The third baseman notched hits in both games he played in last week for the Giants' Rookie League team in Arizona. He went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored against the Mariners and then 1-for-4 with a walk against the Diamondbacks later in the week.

Travis Higgs (Mariners)

Higgs notched a 2-RBI double against the Padres on Aug. 10 and saw action in four games last week.

Aaron Poreda (Padres)

Poreda made one appearance last week for the Tucson Padres, who play in the Triple AAA Pacific Coast League. He struck out three in two innings against Oklahoma, yielding just one run on one hit.

Tagg Bozied (Phillies)

Bozied is still on the seven-day disabled list.

Scott Cousins (Marlins)

The outfielder is still on the 60-day disabled list for the Florida Marlins.
