2011 SEASON: Led the team in batting average (.347), hits (82), doubles (20), on base percentage (.424), triples (4) and runs (42)… started all 57 games for the Dons in centerfield… was named WCC Player of the Week on April 25… totaled a team-high 27 multiple hit games and added six multiple RBI games… longest hitting streak of the season was 15 games… hit .385 in WCC play… signed with the Philadelphia Phillies after being drafted in the 20th round with the 631st pick… put together his first multiple hit game of the season at UC Davis (2/26) going 2-for-5 with a stolen base… went on to go 6-for-8 with three walks and three stolen bases in the second and third games of the UC Davis series (2/27) & (2/28)… totaled four runs, three walks, two hits and two stolen bases against New Mexico State (3/4)… stole two bases, drew a walk and notched eight hits against Cal State Northridge (3/5)… hit a double and a triple against San Jose State (3/15)… went 2-for-4 with a walk and a double at Arizona (3/19)… totaled two RBIs, two runs, a walk, a stolen base and a triple (3/21)… notched two doubles at Fresno State (4/1)… collected three RBIs on 3-for-6 hitting with a double and two runs scored at Portland (4/16)… hit two doubles and a single at Portland (4/17)… went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a walk against Santa Clara (4/22)… turned in his second four-hit game going 4-for-6 with three runs scored against Santa Clara (4/23)… finished 3-for-4 with a RBI and hit by pitch against Loyola Marymount (4/29)… put together a 3-for-5 day at the plate at San Diego (5/8)… totaled three RBIs with a home run, single and run scored against Pepperdine (5/13)… went 3-for-5 with three RBIs against Pepperdine (5/15).

2010 SEASON: One of just two players to start all 56 games… put together a 21-game hitting streak — the fourth longest in program history… led the team in at bats, finishing with a .301 batting average, a team-high 30 walks, team-high16 stolen bases and a team-high hits (67)… notched 27 RBI… went 3-for-4 with an RBI at Cal Poly (2/28)… stole three bases at the University of Alabama-Birmingham and went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored (3/13)… totaled two stolen bases and two hits at San Diego State (3/14)… notched three RBI on two hits at UC Riverside (3/19)… drew two walks and hit a double against UC Riverside (3/21)… went 3-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored at UC Santa Barbara (3/26)… finished with two hits at UC Santa Barbara (3/28)… was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base against Sacramento State (4/7)… totaled a walk and stolen base and two hits against Gonzaga, including a double (4/9)… went 2-for-4 at UC Davis (4/13)… stole two bases at Saint Mary’s (4/17)… put together a two hit game at Saint Mary’s (4/18)... notched three hits, including a double, and an RBI at New Mexico (4/20)… put together an impressive 4-for-5 day at New Mexico (4/21)… notched a two RBI single against Loyola Marymount (4/25)… totaled a stolen base, a walk, a run scored and a double on 2-for-3 hitting against San Diego (4/30)… had two hits and an RBI against San Diego (5/1)… drew two walks and hit a two RBI single at Santa Clara (5/7)… notched a two RBI single at Santa Clara (5/8)… went 2-for-4 with two walks at Santa Clara (5/9)… finished with an RBI double with a stolen base against Portland (5/14)… was 2-for-4 with a walk against Portland (5/15)… totaled three stolen bases, two walks and three runs scored on 2-for-3 hitting at California (5/18)… drew two walks at Pepperdine (5/30).

EAST L.A. JUNIOR COLLEGE (2008-2009): As a sophomore, batted .406 with 11 homeruns, 20 doubles, and 56 RBI... named the South Coast Conference Player of the Year... earned First-Team All-America honors.

PREP CAREER: Played four years of baseball at Bishop Amat High School... as a senior, hit .336 with 31 hits (10 doubles, four homeruns), and 22 RBI... struck out 73 opponents and had a 1.20 ERA... named Serra League Pitcher of the Year... earned First-Team all CIF and First-Team All-San Gabriel Valley... also played three years of football.

PERSONAL: Born in December of 1987 in Montebello, CA... son of Pete and Aubrey Lavin... dad played baseball at Whittier college... chose USF because he felt it fit him best... lists Ken Griffey Jr. as his sports hero... lists his parents as the most impressive people he's met... chose his number (20) because his dad wore it in college... favorite movie is For the Love of the Game... favorite book is The Hobbit... favorite musical artist is Justin Beiber... favorite food is steak with baked potatoes... hobbies include spending time with his family and golf... majoring in sociology.
