Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational Final Round Results
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- USF's women's golf team shot a final round 323 (+35) and finished 13th at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational which was held at the Almaden Golf and Country Club in San Jose.
The Dons posted rounds of 323-318-323 to finish at 964 (+100) for the 54-hole event, four strokes ahead of 14th-place Colorado State (968) and 25 strokes behind 12th place Idaho (939).
Stanford won the event with a 14-over 878, 11 shots clear of second place Washington (889). North Carolina State and California tied for third at 897 (+33) while UC Davis finished fifth at 903 (+25).
Mariah Stackhouse of Stanford claimed the individual title with four-under score of 212, earning a six stroke victory over Regina DeGuzman of San Jose State (218).
Peppiina Kaija was USF's top finisher, placing 53rd at 238 (+22). She shot a final round 86 after opening with rounds of 73 and 79.
Senior Eyglo Oskarsdottir tied for 55th with a final score of 239 (+23) after carding an 80 over her final 18 holes.
Michelle Condry tied for 66th at 246 (+30) after turning in a final round of 81.
Emelie Lundstrom was the only Don who managed to break 80 on Tuesday, as she carded a final round 79 to finish at 247 (+31) and tied for 69th place.
Victoria House placed 71st with a score of 251 (+35) after a final round 83.
USF will return to action at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, March 12-13 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
