VIDEO: Here and Now - Bruin Reunion

Watch the video
In the second episode of "Here and Now: Men's Soccer," the San Francisco Dons head to the Southland for a Bruin Reunion.

First, Dons old and new reflect on the bonds of brotherhood being built both on and off the field. The road trip to Los Angeles provides yet another experience to grow together not only as a team, but find respect and friendship as individuals.

Then, sophomore Aaron Lombardi gets paid a personal visit by his professional hairstylist – his mother. Graciela Lombardi started the eye-catching styles Aaron sports by mimicking the locks of Manso and Batistuta on her son's head. Now the pair collaborate to create their own unique looks for Lombardi to show off.

Lombardi's hair isn't only meant to be eye-catching, many times it is the outward representation of meaningful personal moments. Last season's pink-dyed hairdo was to support his grandmother and all the other women who battle breast cancer. Graciela's desires for her son are not only to represent his Argentinan heritage and play soccer to its fullest, but to do so as a man of good value and a heart full of love.

Finally, the Dons scrimmage the No. 1 team in the land at head coach Eddie Soto's former stomping grounds. The current coach of the Dons spent eight years as a Bruin, but is excited to return on the visiting sidelines. Facing off against life-long friend and mentor Jorge Salcedo, the Dons battled the Bruins for a full 90 minutes, eventually falling 2-1 in the final exhibition of the season for both squads.

The Dons remain focused on respecting the storied history and tradition of the six-time national champions, while striving to leave their own legacy of greatness on the Hilltop. Determined to reach the pinnacle of success, watch USF men's soccer reach to achieve its own championship gold star all season long in the newest web series in the USF video stable.
