THE RUNDOWN
SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's basketball team is looking to rebound from their first West Coast Conference loss as they host the Portland Pilots (4-8, 0-1) on Saturday at War Memorial at 2 p.m.

In Portland's last time out, they were taken down by BYU, 58-72, bringing their losing skid 0-4. It isn't looking good for the Pilots as they travel to the Bay Area with an away record of 0-3.
 
SCOUTING THE PILOTS
  • Julie Spencer leads the Pilots, averaging 13.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
  • Darian Slaga (12.3) and Kate Andersen (10.3) also average 10-plus points per game.
  • Rachelle Owens is tops in assists, dishing out 3.17 dimes a game.
  • The Pilots hit seven three pointers in their WCC opener to top every other team in the conference. Pepperdine and Gonzaga each had five.
  • Portland ranks in the top five in three categories including free-throw percentage (4th, 70.2), rebounding defense (5th, 35.6), and offensive rebounds (3rd, 15.1).
DONS BY THE NUMBERS
  • Anna Seilund leads the Dons with her 13.1 points per game.
  • Seilund is second in the league in two categories including assists (5.2 per game) and free-throw percentage (85.7).
  • Michaela Rakova is second on the roster, scoring 11.7 points per game and bringing down 9.0 boards per contest.
  • Rakova is tops in the league in defensive rebounds, bringing in an average 6.6 per game. She also ranks third in rebounding in the conference with her 108 total boards and 9.0 per game, and is fifth in blocked shots, swatting away 13, 1.1 per game.
  • Ninni Salmi is third in the WCC in three-point field goals made with her 21, 1.8 per game.
  • Four of the five usual starters for USF rank in the top-30 scorers in the WCC, including Anna Seilund (14th, 13.1), Michaela Rakova (17th, 11.7), Shannon Powell (24th, 10.3), and Kalyn Simon (30th, 9.3).
  • USF is tops in the WCC (overall games) in three-point field goals made (6.8), rebounding offense (42.7) and in defensive rebounds (29.4).
