COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – In the third and final round of the Coeur D'Alene Collegiate hosted by Gonzaga at the Coeur D'Alene Golf Resort, the University of San Francisco women's golf team shot a 19-over par, 303 to finish the tournament 11th.
Colorado took home the team championship, they were one of two teams to finish under par after all three rounds. The Buffaloes finished 18-under with a team score of 834 (282-268- 284). Illinois took second and was the only other team under par, they finished 11-under with a score of 841 (280-279-282).
The Dons finished 11
th overall with a three-day score of 28-over, 880 (288-289-303). Senior
Vanessa Ha was the leader for the Dons, she finished tied for 20
th with a three-day score of 216 (72-69-75). In her final round, she birdied three-straight holes on 15, 16, and 17 to go two under at the turn. She finished the day and the found four over after recording a bogey on five of her last nine holes.
Emily Laskin and
Samantha Gong both finished the tournament tied for 40
th. Laskin was eight over with a 221 (71-74-76). In her final-round she bogied three of her first four holes but rebound with a birdie on the par 4 389 yard seventh hole.
Gong was also eight over with a three-day score of 221 (74-71-76).
Pearl Rojanapeansatith finished just behind Gong, tied for 45
th at nine over with a three-day score of 223 (71-75-76).
The Dons return to action on Tuesday, October 10 when they travel to Sammamish, Washington for the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational hosted by Washington.
