Next up in our getting to know series is Vanessa Ha. Ha, a senior from Plano, Texas, is a two-time All-WCC First Team honoree, in 32 career events she has posted 12 top-10 finishes, including two this fall.  She has tallied two rounds under par this fall and has carded 38 birdies.
 
"Vanessa is an extraordinary golfer and ball striker," said head coach Sara Doell.  "She is our silent leader as her game and work ethic speak for themselves. Vanessa does not say much but when she does, you should listen as she usually has something thoughtful or funny to say! I feel that I have learned more from Vanessa than she has learned from me. She is very humble and I appreciate all that she has done to better this program. As with all of the seniors, I am sad to only work with her for a year but I am excited to see what she can do the rest of this year and beyond with her game!"
 
In her junior campaign she finished tied for fourth in the WCC Championships earning her second Frist Team All-Conference honors and a berth in the NCAA Athens Regional as an individual selection.  As a prep she won the 2013 Texas Girls Invitational.
 
GOLF:
1. When did you start playing golf and how?
Vanessa Ha: I tried many sports, golf was my favorite.
 
2. What was the deciding factor in why you came to USF to play on the
women's golf team?
VH: I really like the city of San Francisco.
 
3. What is your favorite memory of being a Don?
VH: When our team won twice in the 2015-2016 season.
 
4. Who is the funniest member of the team and why?
VH: Everyone on the team has a great sense of humor!
 
5. Best USF golf travel story
VH: When we all went to sushi to celebrate the team victory at Mikuni's.
 
6. Your dream foursome would include who?
VH: Tiger woods, my father, my brother and myself.
 
7. What is your favorite golf course?
VH: The Olympic club.
