SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco's Director of Creative Video
Katie Morgan won two awards in the last week, adding to her previous USTFCCCA Excellence in communication award and Emmy nomination earlier in the year. Her feature on USF baseball's

Last night, the Sports Video Group held their annual 10
th annual SVG College Sports Media Awards. The awards recognize the best in college sports video production from national networks, regional networks and conference digital networks, collegiate athletic departments, and students. The CSMAs aim to celebrate those who have pushed the envelope and set a higher standard for the quality of live and pre-/post-produced college sports video content.
Morgan's "Joey's Journey" won the college athletics category, making it the producer's first award for a feature and her third award from SVG overall. Her series' "To Be a Don" and "Hilltop Hoops The Season" won Outstanding Program Series in the past.
Morgan was awarded a Telly in the past week, which honors excellence in video and television across all screens. This year the Telly's saw a record-shattering number of entries. "Joey's Journey" was one of the winners in online content.
"The SVG college media awards are one of the most prestigious events for video in college athletics. To win in the outstanding feature category, which showcased so many talented collegiate production companies, is an honor," said Morgan. "I want to thank USF athletics and our Athletic Director Scott Sidwell for always allowing me to tell the best stories. Thanks to Lin for her tremendous cinematography and of course Joey Carney for being brave enough to share his amazing story."
