SAN FRANCISCO – First year head coach Leonard Griffin is pleased to announce the addition of Nonso Adimabua to a National Letter of Intent. Adimabua is the only player in Griffin's inaugural signing class and will join the Dons for the 2020 season.
"We are thrilled to be welcoming Nonso to the Hilltop," said Griffin. "Nonso is an extraordinary talent on the soccer field, and when matched with his high character and values he will be a positive addition to our team and university. Nonso has the size, pace and strength that any coach would appreciate in their players, but he also has great technical ability that compliments his physical attributes. He will be a major threat to opposing team's defenses and we look forward to aiding in his development."
Adimabua, a native of Asaba, Nigeria, is attending high school at Morningside Academy High School in Port St. Lucie, Fla. In just his freshman and sophomore seasons he tallied 37 goals and 25 assists. In 2017 he helped guide Bella Vista High School to a Division I championship. He took home most valuable player honors and earned First Team CAA All-State Division I recognition.
