The University of San Francisco men's basketball team will take on Princeton at the new home of the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night when the Dons and Tigers tip off live at 6:00 p.m. from Chase Center in downtown San Francisco. The men will follow the women's game, who host Stanford at 3:00 p.m.

• USF opened the "Golden Era" with a lopsided 101-50 win over visiting Sonoma State. The Dons had five players in double figures led by
Charles Minlend and
Khalil Shabazz's game-high 15 points. It is the first time USF has eclipsed the 100 point plateau since Feb. 2, 2016 when the Dons defeated Menlo 100-68.
• Golden Era: The Dons ran away with the game in first year head coach
Todd Golden's debut at the helm of the University of San Francisco. Golden joins Kyle Smith, Rex Walters, Jim Brovelli, Pete Berry, Dan Belluomini, Bob Gaillard, Phil Vukicevich, Pete Palette, and Ross Guidice as USF head coaches who won in their debut. Since 1945 - USF coaches are now 10-4 in their debut in the head chair on the bench.
• Off the Bench: The Dons reserves were very active on Tuesday evening. The bench scored 50 points, led by
Khalil Shabazz's 15 points.
Dzmitry Ryuny grabbed a game-high 8 rebounds.
• When the Dons tip off against the Tigers on Saturday it will be the first of three match-ups for the Dons against the Ivy League this season. USF will also tangle with Yale on Nov. 11 and Harvard on Dec. 30. Last year, the Dons went 2-0 against the Ivy League, defeating Harvard and Dartmouth at home.
Home Sweet Home: Tuesday night began the 61st year at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. According to CollegeBasketballReference.com the Dons are 531-293 (.690) at home all time. Over the last four years the Dons are 42-13 on the hilltop (.764).
• Home Away From Home: When the Dons take on Princeton at the Chase Center, it will be the first time since Dec. 6, 2016 that the Dons will have played a home game in San Francisco away from War Memorial at the Sobrato Center - that night the Dons defeated SF State at Kezar Pavilion. Tonight's game will also be the first collegiate men's basketball game ever played at Chase Center.
THE SERIES
Saturday's contest against the Tigers will be the third time these two historic teams have played each other. The series is split 1-1, with both teams earning a win on their respective coasts. The series dates back to Dec. 21, 1979 when the Dons defeated Princeton 75-57 at War Memorial Gym.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
Princeton is 0-1 after falling to Duquesne on Tuesday 94-67. In that contest, the Tigers held a 42-37 advantage at halftime but could not hang on for the win. Senior Richmond Aririguzoh and sophomore Drew Friberg led the team with 19 points apiece while Aririguzoh led the team in rebounds. Aririguzoh earned Second Team All-Ivy League and Ivy League All-Tournament Team honors last season and is the top returning scorer from a Tigers team that went 16-12 last season.
LAST TIME OUT VERSUS THE TIGERS
The last time these two teams faced each other came on Dec. 28, 1987 with the Tigers defeating the Dons 62-42 at the Connecticut Mutual Classic in Hartford, Conn. Mark McCathrion was the leading scorer for the Dons that game, finishing with 18 points and three rebounds.
