MSOC | Dons Announce 2019 Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO —The University of San Francisco's men's soccer schedule features matches against four teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament last season and will face four powerhouse programs, as the Dons look forward to a competitive season with the announcement of their 2019 fall schedule.

"This fall we have a very competitive overall schedule, both home and away.  Our non conference schedule was built to prepare us for success in the WCC. The most important thing for me is that I'm excited about my staff, our roster and am confident that if we get all the details right we have a group that will compete for a WCC Championship and can make a run in the NCAA tournament," said head coach Leonard Griffin

The Dons kick off the season with exhibition games against Holy Names and San Francisco State on Aug. 18 and 22 at Negoesco Stadium.

The regular season begins on Aug. 30 when the Dons travel up North to Seattle, Wash. for two contests against Seattle University and the University of Washington on Sept. 2. The Dons will visit Cal State Northridge in Bakersfield, Calif. before returning home on Sept. 8.

USF hosts four of its last six games of the non-conference season versus San Jose State (Sept. 12), UNLV (Sept. 15) and Cal State Fullerton (Sept. 22) at Negoesco Stadium. A week later the Dons hit the road to Sacramento State (Sept. 19) and California (Sept. 28). USF will wrap up its non-conference slate at home against Cal Poly on Sept. 30.

West Coast Conference play begins on Oct. 12 at San Diego and will conclude on Nov. 16 at home versus Loyola Marymount. The Dons will play three of their seven conference matches in San Francisco this season, hosting Saint Mary's, Pacific and LMU.

The Dons concluded the 2018 season with a 6-10-1 overall record and 4-3 in conference play, defeating San Diego, Portland, Gonzaga and Santa Clara.

Ticketing information and kickoff times will be released in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned to USFDons.com, @DonsAthletics and @USFDonsMSoccer on Twitter for all updates.
