SAN FRANCISCO — Summer has arrived and so has another season of opportunity for University of San Francisco baseball players to gain experience, live all over the country, make new friends and play competitive baseball in summer leagues across the nation.

A total of 17 Dons will take part in collegiate summer leagues during the next three months. Two Dons are playing in the prestigious Cape Cod League this summer, where many of the country's best prospects play each year. Returning redshirt senior

Jack Winkler are both playing in the Cape, Emery with the Orleans Firebirds and Winkler with the Wareham Gatemen.

Several Dons will continue to play as teammates this summer away from San Francisco. 2019 rookies
Brandon Greim (28 games [12 starts], .235 average, 1 home run, 4 doubles, 10 runs, 7 RBIs) and
Harris Williams (redshirted) are both playing in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League with the Gaithersburg Giants.

Dillon McNeil is teaming with two of his future USF teammates with the independent West Coast Kings program. Incoming freshmen Eric Reyzelman and Eddie Burns will both break into the next level of competition with the Kings. Returning senior infielder
Riki Urata (52 games [50 starts], 31 hits, 15 runs, 8 RBIs, 7 sacrifices) is teaming with 2018 signee
Jake Pizzo playing locally with the San Francisco Seagulls of the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League.

A trio of Dons are joining forces up the coast with the Humboldt Crabs this summer. Returning sophomores
Ryan Cowdrey,
Josh Mollerus and
Kyle Knell are all teaming up for the independent league team now entering its 75th season.
Grant Young and
Thomas McCarthy will form a familiar battery with the Arroyo Seco Saints of the California Collegiate League.

Other Dons playing with teams across the country include
Nick Yovetich with the Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League,
Julian Washburn with the New Bedford Bay Sox in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, and incoming transfer Darius Foster is playing with the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
