MBB | Ferrari Signs Multi-Year Deal with Baxi Manresa

MANRESA, Spain — Former University of San Francisco men's basketball all-West Coast Conference guard Frankie Ferrari has inked a two-year deal with Baxi Manresa, a professional basketball team in Spain that plays in the top domestic league in Europe, the Liga ACB.

Ferrari and Baxi Manresa also compete in the champions league for European competition. Manresa has been in existence since the 1983-84 season and owns one Liga ACB title (1998) to go with two other quarterfinals appearances.

"I am very excited for this opportunity to take the first step in my professional career," said Ferrari. "This has been a goal of mine since I was a little kid. I have heard nothing but great things about the team, coach and city and I'm excited to get out there and get to work."

Ferrari most recently wrapped up a stint in the NBA Summer League with the Utah Jazz. There, he averaged 4.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while scoring seven points. He concluded his career with the Dons in 2018-19, a career that included 1,053 points (30th all-time at USF). He finished fifth all-time with 172 made 3-pointers and third all-time with 410 assists. He is one of only two players in program history to post back-to-back seasons in which he scored at least 400 points and dished out 150 or more assists.
