SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The University of San Francisco women's basketball team will play five of its first seven West Coast Conference games at home and will wrap up the regular season in Northern California this winter, as the conference announced the 2019-20 women's basketball schedule on Wednesday.
Â
Combined with their non-conference schedule, released last week, the Dons (7-24, 2-16 WCC in 2018-19) will host a total of 14 home games during the 2019-20 season (five non-conference, nine conference). One of those 14 home contests will be played at the Chase Center on Nov. 9 versus Stanford, with the rest of the games being played at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
Â

USF kicks off its 2019-20 WCC schedule on Dec. 28 by hosting Bay Area rival Saint Mary's. Northern California foe Pacific then comes to The Hilltop on Dec. 30 to conclude the 2019 calendar year. 2020 starts with another home game when USF hosts South Bay rival Santa Clara on Jan. 4.
Â
San Francisco's first road trip of the conference season won't take it out of California, as it heads down to Southern California to play Loyola Marymount (Jan. 9) and Pepperdine (Jan. 11). Then the Dons return home again to host Portland (Jan. 16) and defending conference champion and NCAA Tournament qualifier Gonzaga (Jan. 18).
Â
The season's first extended stint away from home starts on Jan. 23 with a trip to WCC Tournament Champion and NCAA Tournament participant BYU. San Francisco then travels to San Diego (Jan. 25) to close out the conference season's first half. The second half begins with another trip south, but this time only to the South Bay, as USF starts the second half at rival Santa Clara on Feb. 1. The Dons will also travel to the Pacific Northwest to face Gonzaga (Feb. 13) and Portland (Feb. 15) again.
Â
The Dons' final regular season home games of the year take place on Feb. 6 and 8, with Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount, respectively, visiting War Memorial at the Sobrato Center, and on Feb. 20 and 22 with San Diego and BYU. Fans can still catch USF at the end the regular season, as they wrap up conference play at Pacific in Stockton (Feb. 27) and across the Bay Bridge at Saint Mary's on Feb. 29.
