Box Score NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — The University of San Francisco men's soccer team's eight shot attempts wasn't enough, as the Dons fell to Cal State Northridge, 6-0, on Sunday night at Matador Soccer Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- San Francisco (0-3-0) recorded eight shot attempts and two on goal, led by Sandro Bradara (2), Cameron Martin (1), Jake Serpa (1), Nathan Simeon (1), Haakon Aase (1) and Ashish Chattha (2) while also trailing 1-0 to open the first half. CSUN (3-0-1) was able to score early at the 5th minute mark, led by Johnny Rodriguez's header.
- San Francisco's eight shot attempts was the most it has had all season.
- CSUN dominated the second half when three-straight goals came right after another at the 48th, 56th and 59th minute mark, leading 4-0. Chattha, Jorge Ruiz and Nathan Simeon were the only Dons to record three shot attempts in the second half. The Matadors sealed their victory with two more goals that came in at the 73rd and 75th minute mark.
NOTABLE NUMBERS:
2 and 8: The Dons recorded eight shot attempts and two on goal.
4: Ruben Stuiver, Zyan Andrade, Nathan Simeon and Easton Harryman played the full 90 minutes.
