Dons from Distance | Pearl Rojanapeansatith

During an interesting time with interesting circumstances, USFDons.com is reaching out to student-athletes and having them tell their unique stories. Led by award-winning USF Director of Creative Video Katie Morgan, live remote video interviews with the USF Athletics family will become part of USF's new series called "Dons from Distance."

BANGKOK, Thailand – Fourteen days in self isolation, a doctor's certificate, and a letter from the embassy in Los Angeles: this was the requirement for junior women's golfer Pearl Rojanapeansatith to return to Thailand.

Even with all that in hand, she only narrowly was able to head home. The Dons finished up their season in the Bay Area, so the travel worked out and Rojanapeansatith was able to fly across the Pacific before Thailand went into lockdown amid concerns over the spread of Covid-19.

Though she was safely home, she wasn't able to immediately reunite with her family. Rojanapeansatith has been sitting in self isolation for 14 days to prove that she does not have the virus.

As of today, she still has a few more days in quarantine before she can leave the guest house that is attached to her parents' home. She can wave to her family, but she can't talk to them person-to-person yet.

Learn more by watching the video, and check USFDons.com to hear other stories about USF athletes in these difficult times. Also, be sure to follow the Dons on social media at USFDonsWGolf on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
