SAN FRANCISCO – Head coach Jim Millinder is pleased to announce the addition of talented defender Emmie Paulson (Litchfield Park, Ariz./ Xavier College Preparatory) for the 2021 season.
 
"I think Emmie brings a toughness element to our team," said Millinder. "She's outstanding in the air and the first thing I really noticed about her was her desire to compete for every ball. I think she has the ability to be very successful at the Division I level. I'm incredibly excited to get her in here in August."
 
Paulson is a two-time letter winner for the Gators and head coach Barb Chura. She was named the captain of her team in her senior campaign and helped guide Xavier Prep to a 6A Arizona State Championship.
 
She helped anchor a defense that allowed just six goals all season, which includes posting back-to-back shutouts in the 6A Semifinal and championship match. Over her last two seasons she also tallied two goals and four assists.
 
Paulson will join Allison Kamansky and Kira Ybarra for the 2021 season.
