TEMPE, Ariz. – Fresh off of a second-place finish at the Central Regional Qualifier in Pleasant Prairie, Wisc., the University of San Francisco will compete against Arizona State and the University of South Dakota at the Duel in the Desert NCAA Challenge Scrimmage in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, Sept. 18.

- Designed as a time trial competition, the triathletes will begin their day on the tracks of Sun Angel Stadium before moving onto an obstacle course that will highlight their bicycle skills. Next, each athlete will be tasked with a four-mile bike ride followed by concluding their day swimming at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.
- Following the swimming event, the top three individuals in each event, the top three individual times and the top three overall team times will all earn awards.
- Last time out, USF finished behind four-time national champion and perennial powerhouse Arizona State (18), the Dons placed second as a team in the final results with 41 points as a team. Notably, East Tennessee State rounded out the top three with 77 total points. Individually, four Dons placed in the top-20 of the final race order: Molly Elliott (4, 1:01:24.7), Gillian Cridge (6, 1:01:54.6), Hannah Ye (13, 1:04:11.5) and Hayley Diemar (16, 1:05:15.5).
SCHEDULE:
7:00 AM: 3k run time trial on the track
8:00 AM: Bike skills obstacle course
11:30 AM: 4-mile bike team time trial
1:30 PM: 100-meter swim time trial
2:00 PM: 400-meter open water course in the pool
LINEUP:
Overall, fourth athletes will count towards the team's scoring. For the Dons,

Katherine Badham are set to compete in Tempe.
