SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference officially announced the ESPN and CBS Sports Network broadcast schedules for the upcoming 2022-23 men's basketball season.
 
For San Francisco, the Dons will be featured on ESPN networks six times as well as three times on CBS Sports Network.
 
The 17-game ESPN package with the conference features nine of the WCC's ten institutions. CBSSN'spackage includes 12 games with the WCC. Overall, USF is fourth in the conference behind Gonzaga (14) BYU (13) and Saint Mary's (10) with scheduled televised games as the Dons are set to appear on ESPN and CBSSN nine times in 2022-23.
 
Notably, USF's first game on CBSSN will be at home against Arizona State on Dec. 21, 2022 while USF's first date on ESPN will be at home against Gonzaga on January 5, 2023. 

This season will be the fifth season with the modified WCC men's basketball schedule. The 16-game schedule is the result of changes adopted by the WCC Presidents' Council in 2018 as part of the Conference's Men's Basketball Enhancement Plan. These schedule initiatives demonstrate the league-wide commitment by West Coast Conference Presidents and Athletic Directors to adopt an innovative approach to advance men's basketball on the national stage.

WCC men's basketball is coming off one of the most successful seasons in the history of the Conference in 2021-22 that featured three teams in the NCAA Tournament, which tied a conference best. No. 1 seed Gonzaga advanced to the Round of 16, while Saint Mary's advanced to the second round and San Francisco competed in the national tournament for the first time since 1998. Six WCC teams in total competed in postseason play. In addition, the three NCAA Tournament bids in 2021-22 made the WCC a multi-bid conference in eight of the last 10 NCAA Tournaments in years in which the tournament was played (no tournament in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic).
