FRESNO, Calif. – Impressing with another strong performance, the University of San Francisco women's golf team notched their fifth consecutive finish in the top five as a team on Monday and Tuesday as the Dons placed fourth overall at the Fresno State Classic.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Leading the way for the Dons, freshman standout Riana Mission logged her fourth straight finish in the top five by finishing fourth overall with a three-round total of 1-under-215. Notably, this performance marked the fifth time this year in which the Las Vegas native has finished in the top ten overall individually.
- Right behind Mission, Annika Borrelli found her groove by finishing tied for seventh overall with a 2-over-218. Overall, this was the third time this season she has finished in the top ten and the fifth time she has placed in the top 25 individually.
- Enjoying success of her own, Hannah Zeman tied for twenty-fifth overall with a 7-over-223, which marked her third finish in the top 25 this year.
- Giving it their all through the final hole, Jade Siphomsay tied for sixtieth overall with a 17-over-223 while Toni Sottile tied for sixty-seventh overall with a 20-over-236.
UP NEXT:
USF will close out their regular season schedule with the Chambers Bay Invitational in University Place, Wash. Hosted by the University of Washington, the two-day tournament will take place at Chambers Bay Golf Club on Monday, Apr. 11 + Tuesday, Apr. 12.
