SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Competing at the Olympic Club for the first time in program history, the University of San Francisco women's golf team hosted a field with five teams in the top 60 of Golfstat's rankings in the USF Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday as the Dons placed tenth overall as a team. Individually,
Jade Siphomsay was USF's highest finisher, tying for seventeenth with a 4-over-217.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Leading the way for the Dons, Siphomsay began her first round on day one with birdies on holes three and five as the grad student sat atop the leaderboard after five holes. At the end of three rounds on Tuesday, the Rancho Cucamonga native finished -1 on Par 3's, +5 on Par 4's and even on Par 5's. Overall, Siphomsay tied for the team lead with 36 pars as she also led USF in birdies with eight.
- Playing in her first tournament in the green and gold, Yvonne Shang impressed by tying for twenty-fifth overall with an 8-over-221. In total, the Fresno State transfer shot rounds of 72-75-74 along with 34 pars and seven birdies. Shang also shot even on Pat 3's, +6 on Par Four's and +2 on Par 5's.
- Rounding out the rest of the lineup, Eva Pett, Toni Sottile and Riana Mission all tied for forty-ninth overall with scores of 16-over-229.
- Beginning their year competing as individuals, Jolie Chee enjoyed success in her first tournament as a Don as she tied for thirty-sixth overall with a 10-over-223. Additionally, Hannah Zeman tied for forty-sixth with a 14-over-227 and Lisa Marie Rudometkin finished fifty-sixth with a 34-over-247.

USF will head north to compete in the Coeur D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational from Sunday, Sept. 18 through Tuesday, Sept. 20. Live scoring will be available via the team's schedule page.
