POTOMAC, MD. – The University of San Francisco men's golf program is set to co-host the Howard-USF Intercollegiate golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Sept. 27 at TPC Potomac at Avenal Farm in Potomac, Maryland.
Having hosted numerous prestigious golf events including the Wells Fargo Championship, this tournament at TPC Potomac will be focused on equity and inclusion within the sport of golf as three HBCU schools will be competing in the event: Howard, Alabama State and Alabama A&M.

Jack Kennedy. "This event is is more than just about golf. Coach Puryear and I are dedicated to growing the game and providing a world class experience to as many golfers as possible. With the help of fantastic sponsors in AWS and PNC Bank and TPC Potomac, this event specifically has succeeded in bringing HBCU golf to the forefront and including the many diverse groups of golfers of the world."
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 am on Monday, with rounds one and two set for the first day of action. Teams will then wrap up play with their final 18 holes with split tee teams beginning at 7:30 am. Fans are welcome and encouraged to attend both days of the event.
Next year, Howard and USF will co-host the tournament on the West Coast as it will move to TPC Harding Park in San Francisco in the fall of 2023.
