  • Through three matches, USF is outshooting their opponents, 15.3 to 9.7, as the Dons are averaging 2.00 goals per game.

In the cage, Eric Waltz has impressed as the junior has racked up eleven saves to go along with a .786 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE TITANS:
  • Finding their groove out of the gates, Cal State Fullerton comes into Monday's matchup with a 3-0 record as the Titans have totaled 14 goals through their first three matches to begin the 2022 season. Notably, Fullerton reached double-digit goals for the first time as a team in program history when they took down Life Pacific (NAIA), 10-0, on Sunday, Sept. 28. Most recently, the Titans blanked 2021 WCC Champion Santa Clara on the road, 1-0, on Friday, Sept. 2.
  • Overall, eleven different players have scored at least once so far this year for Fullerton, with Sebastian Cruz leading the charge offensively with three goals and eight points. Defensively, Tetsuya Kadono has played a majority of minutes in goal for the Titans as he has tallied eight saves and an .889 save percentage in 225 minutes of action.
  • As a team, Fullerton boasts a .320 shot on goal percentage to go along with 16 total assists and a 1-1 mark on penalty kicks.
SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS:
  • Building a strong non-conference schedule to begin their season, Seattle U comes into the week with a 1-2 overall record, which includes a 3-1 road win over No. 4 Notre Dame, who finished as a national semifinalist in 2021. Historically, this victory marked the first time in which Seattle U has defeated a top five ranked team. Additionally, the Redhawks also battled No. 8 Kentucky on the road in Lexington, where they dropped a close 1-0 contest. Most recently, Seattle U was upended at Louisville, 2-1, on Friday, Sept. 2.
  • Individually, Declan McGlynn has paced the offense with two goals, one assists, five points and five shots as the senior forward also leads the team with three shots on goal and one game-winning goal (Notre Dame).
  • Returning 18 letterwinners from last year's roster, the Redhawks were picked to finish first in the 2022 WAC Preseason Poll as head coach Pete Fewing enters his eleventh year at the helm of Seattle U and 29th overall at the Division I level.

In that span, the Titans hold an 8-1 record over the Dons, including a 1-0 win in Fullerton on Sept. 17 of last year. Notably, USF's last win over the Titans came on the road in a 2-1 victory on Sept. 5, 2014.
